Upcycled Burlap Creations

Giving single-use burlap coffee bags a new life

Beans to Bags was built on the concept of taking waste streams and turning them into revenue streams. Coffee roasters receive their green coffee beans in burlap bags. Many roasters have found unique ways to repurpose and reuse the bags (they are great for gardening!), but the unfortunate reality is that most of these bags end up going to landfills.

That’s where we come in.

We take these burlap bags and upcycle them into stylish and sustainable bags and accessories that you can use or resell for years to come.

Why Beans to Bags

Sustainable

1 Beans to Bags Shoulder Bag = 1 Burlap Coffee Bag diverted from the landfill. We've kept hundreds of burlap bags out of our waste streams to date and we're on track to divert many more in years to come.

USA-Made

Our bags are sourced and produced within a 200 mile radius of Asheboro, North Carolina:

-Burlap bags come from Counter Culture Coffee's Durham, NC roasting facility.

-Inner lining comes from a facility in Williamston, SC that specializes in deadstock materials, which are typically excess from the textile industry.

-Beans to Bags products are cut and sewn in Asheboro, NC.

One-of-a-Kind

No two Beans to Bags products are alike. Burlap exteriors come from a variety of farms and countries all over the world, and the interior is made from upcycled deadstock textiles which can vary from run to run, so each bag is as unique as you are.
